I enrolled for Sally’s elementary class in 2012 with the hope of being able to understand basic Bahasa Indonesia by the end of it. I found the lessons engaging and well-paced. Guru Sally ensured that the class remained interactive and that everyone was participative; this allowed my classmates and I to speak up more and to have the opportunity to converse in Bahasa Indonesia.Guru Sally is also an approachable teacher who welcomes any questions and I found it easy to have my doubts answered along the way. By the end of the course, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to read and speak basic Bahasa Indonesia, and construct meaningful sentences.I recommend the elementary class to anyone who’s hoping to pick up the basics for the language.
