For anyone who is looking to pick up Bahasa Indonesia I can highly recommend Sally and Indotutors. I joined INDOTUTORS’ elementary class after finishing a short beginner’s course at another language school. The greatest difference between the 2 schools was that I actually learnt a lot more at INDOTUTORS and I must say that it was indeed value-for-money.The study materials were comprehensive, well-formulated and illustrative with plenty of diagrams. It was evident that a lot of thought and effort had gone into putting together and refining the materials such that they were practical, methodical and pitched at the right level and pace. The course also had the right mix of emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening and speaking, which I felt built a firm and holistic foundation for me to progress more easily to the next level of studies.Sally was a very flexible instructor who would adjust her pace and the course schedule to meet the varying needs of the students and to ensure retention of things taught during previous lessons. The course was, no doubt, demanding, but Sally made learning fun, interesting and engaging.Having attended 4 months of lessons at INDOTUTORS, I am currently mid-way through an intermediate course taught by Sally and I am pleased that I can now write, over 700 words in Bahasa Indonesia, a short 2-page composition which narrates an incident and describes people and emotions. This is a level of proficiency that is probably comparable to that attained by Singapore students in the English language at the GCE Ordinary level.I would highly recommend Sally of INDOTUTORS to those interested in picking up Bahasa Indonesia. If you are willing to put in some effort and hard work as with any other language, you cannot possibly go wrong at INDOTUTORS.

I took guru Sally’s intensive class about 3 months ago (Aug 2012) in preparation of my going to Indonesia for work. Without any prior background in bahasa Indonesia and being an average language student, I had my doubts about my ability to pick up the language in such a short time.However, I was able to achieve just that in her class. Her curriculum instills in you the fundamentals of the language which makes it easier for you to pick up and use new words in future. I am now in Indonesia and conversing well with the locals here. Her classes are also interactive and filled with interesting stories about the culture of Indonesia, making the classes both enriching and enjoyable! I recommend her class for anyone who wants to learn Bahasa Indonesia either for interest or for work.

I signed up for the Indonesian class since November 2011, and I had completed the Elementary level now already half-way through the Intermediate level. Despite the many choices of providers out there, I had chosen INDOTUTORS because of its perceived and seemingly credibility I sensed from its website which were well established and organised.Indeed, I was not wrong to have signed up with INDOTUTORS. Our tutor, Sally’s lessons had always been filled with fun and laughter which made learning the language less tedious and enjoyable amidst our tiredness from our hard day work, especially on weekday evening. Although some topics were technically challenging due to the learning of grammar, we were asked to craft sentences that helped us to better remember them. Also available were a host of resources available on the Indotutors’ website to assist students.I would definitely continue to stay with Indotutors until I ‘graduated”, and I would not hesitate to recommend INDOTUTORS to others who are interested !

Its the first time I took up language lessons and guru Sally made the experience very enjoyable. She is very personable and takes the extra effort to teach us, who have no knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia initially. Highly recommended!

Sally is a wonderful teacher of Bahasa Indonesia. I am glad to have her for my introductory course. She is perceptive of what is needed to facilitate the learning of each individual, exemplified by her providing memory aids specific to my background and stimulating my interest in the language by skillfully bringing in interesting facts about her homeland.
